On December 19, 2025, the couple welcomed a healthy baby boy, whom they affectionately call "Kaju." Known for her infectious laughter, Bharti recently moved fans to tears by sharing the "raw" side of motherhood. In her latest vlog, she documented her struggle with overwhelming emotions, reminding us that even the strongest women need support during the postpartum period.

"I Cry Without Any Reason": Bharti Opens Up About Morning Blues

After returning home with her newborn, Bharti shared a vulnerable update with her followers. Despite having a supportive husband and a full team of help at home, she admitted to crying uncontrollably, especially in the quiet hours of the morning.

"I just finished crying, and I still don't know why the tears keep coming," Bharti confessed in her vlog. She explained that she feels a sense of confusion because everything in her life is seemingly perfect. "Everything at home is fine—there are people to help with work... Still, I don't know why I feel like crying. I don't understand what's happening to me." This "crying for no reason" is a classic sign of the postpartum effect.

How to Manage Postpartum Emotions

To help mothers navigate similar feelings, Dr Rahul Chandhok, Head Consultant of Mental and Behavioural Science at Artemis Hospital Gurugram, explained in one of our previous articles that overcoming these emotions requires a "multifaceted approach." This means looking at both the chemical changes in the body and the psychological shift of adding a new family member.

Here are the key strategies recommended to help manage and overcome postpartum depression (PPD):

  • Seek Professional Guidance: Don't hesitate to reach out to therapists, counsellors, or psychiatrists. They provide a safe space and therapeutic interventions that are vital for recovery.
  • Try Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT): This specific type of therapy is excellent for helping moms develop coping strategies, challenge those "negative thought loops," and build mental resilience.
  • Find Your Tribe: Joining support groups or talking to other mothers who have "been there" offers validation. Sometimes, just knowing you aren't alone is the best medicine.
  • Prioritise Your Basic Needs: It sounds simple, but getting enough rest, eating nutritious meals, and doing gentle exercise are foundational for restoring emotional well-being.
  • Lean on Your Support System: Involve your partner, family, or friends in caregiving. Let them handle a few diaper changes or chores to lighten your mental and physical burden.
  • Consider Medication if Needed: Under the strict guidance of a healthcare provider, medication can be a beneficial tool for mothers dealing with more severe PPD.

Conclusion

The journey of motherhood is as much about emotional recovery as it is about physical healing. Bharti Singh’s honesty serves as a powerful reminder that it is okay not to be okay, even during a time of great happiness. If you or someone you know is struggling with "uncontrollable crying" or feelings of despair after birth, remember that recovery is possible with time and support.
