Healthy Mishti Doi Recipe

 Mishti Doi Mishit Doi or sweet curd is the punch line of every Bengali meal. If you have your heart set out to it, here is an extremely simple way of preparing mishit doi.

 

Key Ingredients: 25 grams curd, 100 grams of powdered sugar, half a litre milk

 

Boil milk and sugar in the pan till it gets reduced to half. Stir it continuously. Cool the mixture and then add curd to it. Pour it in a casserole or a metal container so that the remaining heat does not escape it and keep it untouched in a safe place, for the next 7 hours. When the mixture thickens, freeze it and serve it to your guests! For that extra special touch you can also add a chunk of jiggery to it instead of sugar.
