Are there really any zero calorie foods? Does any food have so low calories that the same amount or more calories are used to digest them as they contain?
Zero calorie food is really a myth. The diets that claim weight loss through "zero-calorie" or "negative-calorie" foods are nothing but phony. Losing weight would become so easy if there were calorie-free foods which we could eat all day.

Some foods have very low calories and the calories used for chewing and digesting these foods may make them with almost no calories, but certainly there are no foods that result in a negative calorie balance.

The fiber in fruits and vegetables makes you feel full as higher-calorie foods, but with far fewer calories. If you are trying to lose weight eat a nutritionally balanced diet with limited calories and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Although these foods are not exactly zero calorie foods they make you feel full with far fewer calories and for longer.
And of you are really looking for zero calorie food drink water instead of sugar-sweetened beverages when you are thirsty. This will save you hundreds of calories. Healthy adults should drink 6-8 glasses of water daily.
Anything that we consume orally as food is intended to nourish the body. They are supposed to provide energy to the body to carry on its daily activities of growth and maintenance. It is only when there is an imbalance in the input and output that the problem arises.
