Yuvrajs Return Shadows Kiwi Win

Indian cricket fans and cricketing fraternity across the world were glued to their television screens for the second game of the T20 India-New Zealand 2012 series, only to watch Yuvraj Singh back in action. The awaited comeback of star middle-order batsman got delayed, as the first game of series was washed out.

Man-of-the-tournament of India’s World Cup Cricket 2011 winning campaign, Yuvraj made a return in international cricket circuit after treatment of a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs. Yuvraj Singh underwent three cycles of chemotherapy in Boston.

Unfortunately India lost by 1 run, but the elegant left-handed batsman looked in sublime touch in his knock of 34, which included 2 giant sixes. Earlier in the New Zealand innings, Yuvraj rolled his arms for 2-over bowling spell, to give fans first glimpse of him in action. [Read: Yuvraj's Battle Against Cancer]

Hours before the T20 match in Visakhapatnam, Yuvraj tweeted that he’s thrilled to don Indian Cricket Team’s Jersey and thanked fans for their support once more. He also sent a message across to those suffering from cancer that read “If Yuvraj can, you too can fight cancer and come back where you belong! So, shout you (we) can. For the cancer society, see you on the field (sic).”

Onlymyhealth.com team salutes Yuvraj Singh for his upbeat attitude and wishes him best for his second innings.
