Detailing about the same, we reached out to Ashita Gupta, Clinical Dietician, from Apollo Clinic and Lucknow Cancer Institute, and asked about the plant-based meat.

While plant-based meat is a popular alternative for many people, there are several reasons why it may not be a viable option.. In today’s time when the whole world is moving towards farm-fresh foods, intake of such processed items can pose severe health risks. Our expert gave a list of reasons why one should opt for natural foods instead of processed foods. 

  • Natural food retains its original nutrients and is free from artificial additives.

  • They are rich in natural fibre and antioxidants.

  • Some of the other natural plant-based options are lentils, chickpeas, tofu and tempeh, quinoa, nuts and seeds

  • Leafy green vegetables 

  • They equally provide the same bioavailability of good-quality protein. along with multiple vitamins and minerals that are enzyme-friendly and easy to digest.
