Your diet often forces you to follow time-restricted eating. Some people also like to fix their eating time due to a fully packed schedule. According to a recent study, time-restricted eating can help you manage your diabetes. It is beneficial for blood glucose levels. So, to manage your diabetics effectively you need to watch out what to eat and when.
For the study, 15 men were carefully observed for seven days. They were served food on a restricted time for seven days.
"The men, who are at high risk of developing type-2 diabetes, limited their food intake to a nine-hour period per day," said Leonie Heilbronn, lead author of the study.
The blood glucose levels of all the participants were noted and it was concluded that time-restricted eating improved the blood glucose levels of the patients.
"Our results suggest that modulating when, rather than what, we eat can improve glucose control. We did see a tiny amount of weight loss in this study, which may have contributed to the results," Heilbronn explained.
