Smriti Mandhana’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, was recently discharged from a hospital in Sangli after several days of medical care. His hospitalisation was sudden, triggered by chest pain and heart attack-like symptoms on the morning of the planned wedding between Smriti and musician Palash Muchhal on November 23, 2025. Srinivas is now reported to be stable and out of danger, having undergone several tests, including an angiography, which relieved the family by showing no blockages.

The incident ignited swirling media reports, with some sources alleging a fallout between both families, rumours of infidelity, and a hasty cancellation. While the family prioritises recovery and discretion, many fans remain curious about what really happened.

Smriti Mandhana's Father's Health Issues and Marriage Controversy

On the morning of the scheduled wedding, 23 November 2025, Srinivas Mandhana reportedly began having left-sided chest pain during breakfast. According to hospital sources, his cardiac enzymes were “slightly raised,” and he was taken to a private hospital in Sangli for immediate evaluation. Doctors initially considered a heart-attack-like episode, labelling it as angina. He was closely monitored, with an ECG and an echocardiogram carried out. Smriti Mandhana’s Father

Over the next 48 hours, under continuous observation and care, his vitals stabilised, and angiography reportedly showed no dangerous blockages. On 25 November 2025, media outlets confirmed that Srinivas had been discharged and was no longer in immediate danger. A day after his hospitalisation, it was also reported that Palash Muchhal is also hospitalised due to an infection amid the marriage controversy.

Allegations of Cheating: What’s Being Reported

While the postponement was publicly attributed to the father’s health, new headlines quickly emerged alleging that Muchhal had “cheated” on Mandhana days before the wedding. Claims surfaced of leaked private chats between Muchhal and a woman named Mary D'Costa, purportedly a choreographer involved in the wedding, where he allegedly invited her to meet for a swim and spa, despite being engaged to Mandhana.

Soon after these screenshots went viral, Mandhana removed her engagement posts and proposal video from social media. Many fans and social-media users reacted strongly, expressing shock and criticism. But as of now, neither Mandhana nor Muchhal has issued an official statement confirming or denying the allegations. The authenticity of the screenshots remains unverified.

With the father’s hospitalisation and the swirling rumours, the wedding has been postponed with no new date announced. The family of Muchhal posted a public request for privacy during this “sensitive time.”

Meanwhile, Mandhana’s teammates and friends have also removed posts related to the wedding, a signal of the sudden shift from celebration to concern. Both Mandhana and Muchhal have been silent publicly. Without confirmation, the alleged affair remains just that, an allegation circulating in the media and on social platforms.
