Borderline diabetes, also known as pre-diabetes, is a medical condition by virtue of which a person’s blood sugar levels are higher than normal reading, though not as high as in diabetes.
According to the diabtes.org, for an individual to be diagnosed with borderline diabetes, his or her fasting glucose level must be between 100 and 125 mg/dl. If the blood glucose level of a person is 126 mg/dl or higher, he or she is diabetic. However inflicting the disease may seem, here are ways in which you can treat it.
Keep glucose levels in check
Get a blood test done to measure your glucose levels. Knowing the exact level of glucose in your blood will help you and your doctor evolve an appropriate treatment, which will include lifestyle changes and medication to get your sugar levels to a normal range.
