Weight loss is a long-term process, so you must be consistent with your diet, sleep, and training. If a person wants to transform, they should adopt a healthy lifestyle for the next eight weeks. When an individual begins to eat healthily, they can easily shed the first few kilos because changes in diet and training bring shock to the human body. However, as the weeks pass, weight loss becomes more complex; instead of losing 4 kgs per month, losing even one kg becomes difficult.
Do you know why this happens to you? This is known as a weight loss plateau, and it is a common concern for anyone attempting to lose weight. So, if you're new to losing weight or struggling to get rid of that last layer of fat, let's first define a weight loss plateau and how to overcome it.
Weight Loss Plateau
A weight-loss plateau occurs when your weight does not change despite working out regularly and eating right. It often happens after a while, such as if your body weight is 70 kg and your goal is to lose 10 kg, you can quickly lose the first 5 kg and reach 65 kg before hitting a plateau. However, if losing this first 5kg took six weeks, it could now take nine weeks to lose a single kilogramme of your body weight.
Plateaus occur when your body becomes conditioned to the same stimulus, and now it requires some new stimulus to produce results. So here are five lifestyle changes you can make to shed those last five pounds.
1 New Workout & Time
Your body has grown tired of the workout regimen you had been following to lose the first 5 kgs. Now, you need something different to shock your muscles, so if you've been doing cardio, try switching to weights. You could also try something like running or Zumba. Similarly, if you've been working out in the morning for a while, it's time to switch things up and start working out in the evening.

2 Sleep More
Less sleep could be one of the reasons your body isn't producing results. Transformation happens while we sleep, so giving your body and mind adequate rest is critical. For example , if you've been sleeping six hours a night, increase it to eight until you lose the next few kgs.
3 Move More
Apart from your workout, make it a point to move more throughout the day. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator and going grocery shopping are two ways to increase your daily movement. The best thing you can do is a 15-minute workout before going to bed and after waking up. This will help you burn calories and keep you active throughout the day.
4 Eat More Seasonal Foods
Most likely, the diet you are currently following includes foods from the winter season and its already summer in your area. You don't have to drastically change your diet; for example, if you eat fruits for breakfast, add some local fruits. Similarly, for lunch and dinner, include seasonal vegetables.

The lack of fiber in most weight loss diets is the reason why many people experience constipation while losing weight. To avoid this problem, drink more water and keep at least three hours of gap between meals.
