Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital in Juhu late Tuesday night after fainting at his residence. Reports say the 61-year-old actor experienced sudden dizziness and disorientation before collapsing, prompting an emergency hospitalisation. The scare came shortly after he visited fellow veteran actor Dharmendra at the hospital, adding to fan concern. However, he is now discharged and revealed the reason what caused his sudden hospitalisation.

What Govinda’s Update Says About His Health

 

After being released, Govinda appeared in good spirits and greeted the media with his trademark smile. Speaking to reporters, he said, “Zyada hard work kar liya tha. fatigue hogaya tha… Ab thik hun. (I have done a lot of hard work and I am fatigued. I do heavy exercises.” He added, “I did too much. I’m fine now.”  

The actor also explained his recent focus on fitness and admitted that heavy workouts might have contributed to his health scare. “Yoga and pranayam are really good. Heavy workouts can be a bit tough. I was trying to improve my personality, but I think it’s better to stick to yoga and pranayam,” he said. Govinda also extended his gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their support and prayers during this time. Sources say he was advised to undergo neurological tests as a precaution.

What Led to the Hospital Visit?Govinda hospitalised

Govinda’s close friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal revealed that the actor had been feeling weak since Tuesday morning. “He was disoriented for a few seconds before losing consciousness,” Bindal shared. Upon telephonic consultation, Govinda was given medication, but because of the seriousness of the fainting, he was rushed to the hospital at around 1 a.m.

During his hospital stay, Govinda underwent a series of medical tests, including neurological evaluations, to rule out any serious issues. Doctors kept him under observation, and thankfully, no complications emerged. By Wednesday afternoon, the medical team was satisfied with his condition and discharged him with advice to rest and monitor his health closely.
