We often talk of balance between mind and body, healthy diet, balanced diet, etc. All these things are meant to create perfect health which is important for optimal growth. Similarly body balance is also important to sustain that growth which is established by healthy diet. Body balance is created when there is proper connection between your brain and muscles to coordinate with perfection. This is only possible when you have a good balanced diet which aids in keeping the body balance intact. Today we will discuss about some dietary tips that could possibly help us to keep prefect body balance.

How is food connected to body balance?

To establish link between food and body balance we have Ms. Shilpa Singh, Clinical Nutritionist from Fatima Hospital, Lucknow. She explains that food of certain kinds help to establish calmness in the body including muscles, because of this the flow of energy is regulated that helps in creating body balance. Easily digestible foods are preferred for helping the nervous system establish proper link with digestive system. There are some holistic foods in our Indian diet which are very essential to support body balance, let’s understand their use one by one.

Dietary Tips to Improve Body Balance

1. Ghee


Ghee or clarified butter is an actually very healthy and effective to create body balance in our body. It is often taken as an unhealthy item and people believe it to be high in calories, but the truth is that ghee is a rich source of calcium and good fats. It aids in strengthening immunity, easy to digest and boost memory function. Because of all these goodies, ghee is one of foods that should be included in your diet instead of refined oils for better body balance. 

Clarified butter is also lighter than most of oils in the process of digestion, since it can be easily digested, it maintains balance in the body. 

2. Sprouted Whole grains

Another very effective food to maintain body balance is whole grains. Grains are essential for the body and should be included in the diet as a vital element. Breads made up of whole grains contain good amount of fibre in them which makes the body last longer and improves body balance as well as reduces risk of muscle problems and diseases. Since it is easily digestible, it can be had multiple times in a day. Sprouted whole grains are low in calories and thus improve body functions inside out.

3. Fresh fruits

Fruits are very important to maintain a healthy body. It helps body functions to work efficiently. Fruits have high amount of vitamins and minerals which help the muscles to becomes stronger and have fibre in them which makes tissues last longer. Fresh fruits are low in calories and can be had between meals or as part of meals. These low calorie foods are actually beneficial to maintain a healthy body that prevents falls, dehydration and diseases. You must add these fruits to improve body balance-

4. Honey

Honey has just infinite benefits and is considered one of the best foods to include in the diet. It has natural sugars which is easily digestible and reduces weight rather than increasing it. It is a natural sweetener which maintains overall health, digestion and nervous system functioning. It can be added in moderation with most of the foods, fruits and breads as well. Try to add honey instead of sugar for better body balance. Honey also reduces inflammation of muscles and tissues which is a major cause of falls.

5. Organic vegetables

Organic vegetables do not particularly mean those which come in the market on the name of organic. But this means vegetables that are grown in natural conditions and occurs very naturally without much effort. These vegetables need to be eaten in the rawest form possible, means boiled vegetables or just clean it up and consume it. This method can be effective in improving body balance because organic vegetables are very light and provide abundance of nutrients to the body.

Nuts and seeds in particular are very healthy and nutrition rich form of diet. 7. Ashwagandha

8. Tulsi

This herb is also known as holy basil because it is used in many treatments in Ayurveda as well as allopathic medicines. Tulsi reduces problems associated with bones and muscles which directly improve body balance and is helpful in providing support to the body. You can include tulsi in your tea, on top of vegetable, having it raw and in form of herbal paste.
