Dr. Vinay Kumar Bahl is a senior cardiologist with over 45 years of experience in cardiac care, clinical leadership, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular research. He currently serves as the Head of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research at Metro Group of Hospitals. Over the course of his career, he has held several senior academic and leadership positions at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, including Dean (Academics), Chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre, and Head of Cardiology. His clinical expertise spans coronary and valvular interventional cardiology, including complex angioplasties and advanced procedures such as rotational atherectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). He also has expertise in mitral balloon valvotomy, retrograde balloon mitral valvotomy, heart failure management, cardiac imaging, and echocardiography-based assessment of cardiac function.
