Dr. Anjali S. Raj is a Consultant Neonatologist at Manipal Hospital, Kanakapura Road, Bangalore, with over 10 years of clinical experience in neonatology and high-risk newborn care. She completed her MBBS from Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellary, and her MD in Paediatrics from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, where she graduated as a Gold Medalist and university topper under Gujarat University (2014). She subsequently completed her FIAP Fellowship in Neonatology at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai - again earning a Gold Medal from the Indian Academy of Pediatrics  and her DNB in Paediatrics (2015), before going on to earn her DM in Neonatology from St. John's Hospital and Research Center, Bangalore (2020-2023). This exceptional academic trajectory, marked by multiple gold medals at prestigious institutions, reflects the highest standards of clinical and academic excellence in neonatology. Dr. Anjali's clinical expertise spans extreme preterm and high-risk newborn care, neonatal resuscitation, newborn ventilation, functional echocardiography, point-of-care ultrasound, neurodevelopmental assessment, lactation counselling, high-risk antenatal counselling, and infection control and antibiotic stewardship. Over her career she has worked at leading neonatal units across India, including Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai, ESI PGMSR Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, and Bangalore Baptist Hospital, gaining broad and diverse NICU experience before joining Manipal Hospital, Kanakapura Road, in June 2025. She is an Advanced and Basic NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Trainer, a faculty member at national-level Neonatal Ventilation workshops, and an examiner for NNF nursing and neonatal fellowship exit examinations, reflecting her deep commitment to advancing neonatal education.
