1 Inconsistent Meal Timing

The key to losing weight is consistency and breaking old habits. You undoubtedly are eating oats for breakfast, chicken for lunch, and soup for dinner every day, but at different times. When you consume meals at different times, the human body finds it difficult to adjust. Secondly, our bodies produce certain juices whenever we eat something, and there is an insulin spike, which keeps our system running and makes it difficult to lose weight. Lastly, the human body only responds when you follow a certain pattern for a specific time. So, instead of focusing solely on calories, get the timing right and take your weight loss game to the next level.

2 Not Drinking Water

Drinking plenty of water is recommended by dietitians, nutritionists, and fitness experts worldwide to stay healthy and lose weight. Adequate water consumption aids in the removal of toxins from the body and increases metabolism. Moreover, drinking a glass or two of warm water first thing in the morning can help you lose weight and belly fat. It also aids in the cleansing of your system. The best part about drinking water at regular intervals is that it reduces appetite and calorie intake while aiding body hydration.

3 Eating Processed Food

Working under time constraints can lead to a preference for quick and ready-to-eat meals. Today's markets are flooded with processed and packaged foods. And, no matter how healthy a choice you make from these processed foods, the preservatives and added flavours will harm your health. Moreover, eating these junk and fast foods for breakfast can be one of the worst things you can do for your health. Preservatives and sugar content in processed foods can increase cravings and lead to overeating.

4 Eating Too Quickly

Consider the following scenario: you're out to dinner with your family, you've already finished one chappati, and the waiter is taking his time bringing you the next one. So, what happens next? You are completely satisfied. Do you understand why? This is because it takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to signal to your brain that you are full. While, when we eat, we eat so quickly that we finish our tiffin box in less than 10 minutes. So, put your fork down between bites, eat with a loved one, make conversation, and chew slowly.

5 Not Resting

You may believe that rest is the last thing you need when trying to lose weight, but not getting enough sleep can often lead to weight gain.
