For instance, your morning routine plays a vital role when it comes to weight gain. Here are 5-morning habits that result in weight gain: 

Skipping breakfast

Do you know breakfast gives 80 per cent of energy to your body, and if you skip your breakfast it could damage your metabolism? Apart from enhancing the strength, breakfast also stabilises glucose levels and helps lower cortisol levels (stress hormone) in the blood. Facts state that skipping breakfast has a significant influence on both waist circumference and BMI than eating dinner three hours before going to bed. Start your day with a healthy breakfast to cut calories for the rest of the day.

Tea and coffee over water

If tea or coffee is your priority of the day, then it’s a big NO NO for your body. Every morning, the first thing you must do is drink a glass of water. You can also add a pinch of lemon in it if you want. Consumption of water helps you in maintaining the right temperature and nutrient balance in your body and also prevents you from overeating at breakfast as it fills up the stomach quickly.

Waking up early is good for health and body weight. Sleep is essential for the human body, but getting excessive sleep or lack of sleep increases your appetite levels, leading to overeating. Studies recommend that adults should get seven to nine hours of sleep every night to avoid such a situation.

Intake of processed food

An unhealthy breakfast can make you feel sluggish, and it can lead to weight gain. Therefore having the wrong breakfast can likewise be terrible for your weight. Opt for healthy food items for breakfast like plain yoghurts, nuts, oatmeal, green tea, whole fruits, etc.

Avoiding morning sunlight

When you get up in the morning, don’t merely laze around. Go out and appreciate the sun. Not getting morning daylight is not suitable for health. Daylight accelerates your digestion rate. Many studies state that working out in the mornings is associated with a more excellent feeling of revitalisation, an increase in energy and positive engagement, decrease in tension, confusion, anger, and depression. That’s why it is recommended to expose yourself to sunlight for 20 to 30 minutes is enough to affect your BMI.
