Her death brings an era of gold in South Indian cinema to a close, leaving behind a legacy of superb performances and an indelible impression on the hearts of millions.
Born in the year 1955, Saroja Devi, at the young age of 17, started her career in cinema with the Kannada movie ‘Mahakavi Kalidasa.’ Her first performance not only received acclaim from critics but also won her a National Award, which was an indication of her remarkable talent and potential. Soon, she became well-known and was bestowed with the title "first female superstar of Kannada cinema."
Her death has been marked with an effusion of condolence from all corners of the film world and elsewhere. Actors and people from all over the world condoled the passing of a legend from the world of cinema.
