Ayurvedic Remedies for Back Pain
Take a cup of uncooked rice and tie it inside a thick cloth. A sock may also be used for doing the same. Heat the cloth or sock for 30 to 60 seconds on the microwave with medium-low setting. This can be applied on the back for relief. Precaution for keeping the temperature tolerable is important.
Ginger and honey can be used to get mild aspirin kind of effect. Slice 1 to 2 inch long fresh ginger root into many pieces. Place the pieces in 1 quart of boiling water. Do not bring to boil but simmer for 30 minutes on low flame. Let it cool for 30 minutes after boiling. This solution can then be taken with honey because of its anti-inflammatory properties.
Ice packs applied on area of inflammation helps to numb pain. A plastic bag and few crushed ice cubes are all you need for this treatment.
Fasting for a short period can consume the ama which is the cause of your ailment.
