giloy

Giloy

According to a 2017 review examining the medicinal advantages of giloy, it was found that the juice extracted from the stem of giloy demonstrates significant efficacy in treating gout by counteracting elevated levels of uric acid in the body.

Giloy aids in reducing inflammation and boosting immunity, thereby mitigating joint pain caused by excessive uric acid. It also possesses antioxidant properties that protect cells from oxidative stress.

Shallaki

"Shallaki, also known as Boswellia serrata, is an Ayurvedic herb traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It may help reduce uric acid levels and manage joint pain associated with conditions like gout and osteoarthritis", said Dr Dagar.

Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflammation and pain in joints caused by high uric acid. It also helps lower uric acid levels by inhibiting its production and promoting its excretion", added Dr Dagar.

Punarnava

Punarnava, meaning 'rejuvenating' in Sanskrit, lives up to its name by promoting overall health and vitality. It possesses diuretic properties that aid in flushing out excess uric acid from the body, thus reducing the risk of joint inflammation and pain.

Amalaki

Amalaki, or Indian Gooseberry, is a powerhouse of antioxidants and vitamin C. Its anti-inflammatory properties help alleviate joint pain and swelling caused by elevated uric acid levels. Regular consumption of this herb helps in supporting healthy digestion and detoxification.

Boswellia

Dr Dagar said, "Boswellia, also known as Indian frankincense, contains boswellic acids that exhibit potent anti-inflammatory effects. It is particularly beneficial in managing conditions like arthritis and gout by reducing joint inflammation and improving mobility."
