Dr Chaudhary shared, "Drinking fresh aloe vera juice on an empty stomach can help improve insulin sensitivity." He recommended that consuming aloe vera juice twice a day can work wonders for maintaining blood sugar levels.
Neem Water
According to a study by researchers from the Indian Institute Of Ayurveda, neem aids in the management of Type-2 diabetes as it supports insulin function.
Advising the best way to consume neem drinks, Dr Chaudhary said, "Boiling neem leaves and drinking the infused water can help manage diabetes when taken on an empty stomach."
Karela Juice
A study by the SRK Medical College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences revealed that karela juice lowers blood sugar levels, and hence can be beneficial for people with Type-2 diabetes.
"Its bitterness helps in lowering blood sugar levels," explained Dr Chaudhary. He suggested that a glass of freshly squeezed bitter gourd juice when consumed regularly on an empty stomach, can help control diabetes.
Amla Juice
Lastly, Dr Chaudhary shared, "Amla is a powerhouse of antioxidants and vitamin C."
He added, "Drinking a glass of fresh amla juice on an empty stomach can help regulate blood sugar levels as it supports the pancreas in insulin production and improves overall digestion."
