Fat burning foods

Fat burning foods basically help your body get rid of fat deposits, even though not so directly. The body requires time to detoxify itself. The fat stored is a form of toxin that needs to be flushed out but the body never gets enough time to detoxify.

The body can detox only when the stomach is free from the process of digestion for quite a long time. This does not imply that one should stop eating. Instead, this means that one should eat foods that can be digested quickly, are easily digestible, so that the body has time to start detoxifying.

That is what fat reducing foods do—while they are very easy to digest, they also offer energy to the body. These foods that burn fat have to be natural since processed foods require a lot of time to get digested. They also have to be raw because cooked food takes more time to get digested. Further, cooked food contains salt which in itself is a toxin. So any food that can help one burn fat has to be natural and raw. Moreover, it should give you enough energy to sustain.

One of the best fat burning food is apple. It contains the highest percentage of a soluble fibre, and is extremely easy to digest. Apples contain approximately 14 grams of carbohydrate per serving and 1.4 gram of dietary fibre. They are devoid of starch and fat, the main trouble makers.

Even bananas are helpful in burning fat. Contrary to popular belief that they are fattening, bananas contain a lot of carbohydrates that give a lot of energy to the body. They can be fulfilling and most people have been known to survive only on bananas.

Oatmeal, basically implying rolled oats and not the instant, sweetened variety, might be very plain in terms of flavour but you can add to the taste easily with fruit, nuts and some of the berries. Steel rolled oats are even better for your health though a bit expensive.

Berries such as Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Cranberries, etc., are a great way of sweetening your usually bland oatmeal. Adding them to your protein shake, salad, natural yogurt or a mixed bag of nuts for a fat busting snack is a great way to keep at bay the excess fat.

Also, beef that has been raised on natural foliage such as grass is healthier than the usual grain reared meat. It has 30% less fat, with a perfect ratio of the essential fatty acids required for fat loss.

Even organic and free range eggs do not affect the blood cholesterol. Also, the essential fatty acids inside the eggs yolk are vital for fat burning.

These essential fat burning foods when taken in the right amount help the system cut down the excessive, unwanted fat stored in the body.
