When you’re happy, you tend to relax, enjoy shared meals, and sometimes let go of strict dieting or exercise routines.”

In the coaching experience of Uzma, she shared that she has often observed that when people enter a secure, emotionally safe relationship, something subtle but powerful shifts inside them. They finally stop operating in ‘performance mode.’ No more chasing impossible standards. No more walking on eggshells. The body and mind begin to relax. That’s when what I call 'relational nourishment' sets in.

This calmness isn’t just mental, it’s chemical. Your nervous system comes out of fight-or-flight. Cortisol levels drop. You sleep better. You smile more. You eat with joy instead of guilt. And sometimes, yes, that peace shows up as a few extra kilos. But that doesn’t always signal a problem. Sometimes, it’s a sign that you finally feel safe to be yourself. No more proving, just being.
