A man who hits the gym and takes care of his health can be called a healthy man, but how healthy is he if he is not storing up on multi vitamins? These often avoided health beneficiaries are a great way to keep your overall health on the top.

Vitamins play a very important role in our nutritional growth and this is supposed to be covered with the help of all the food that we eat. But unfortunately men do not get all the essential nutrients that he requires from the foods that he eats. This is the reason why he needs to get all those extra nutrients from vitamins. By adding vitamins to their daily diet they can make a huge difference to their health and well being. There are two types of vitamins that are available, one is fat soluble and the other is water soluble. Here we will look at the vitamins that are best for you.

Vitamin C

This vitamin is good because it is your immune system booster and also aids in the maintenance and repair of connective tissue, bones, teeth and cartilage. Vitamin C is also great for the role it plays in absorbing iron. Additionally it boosts men’s sexual health. You run a high risk of getting anemia; you could lose teeth, could suffer from joint pain and also lose hair. Citrus fruits are an obvious source of vitamin C, but apart from this you can get vitamin c in red bell peppers, broccoli, spinach, Brussels sprouts, berries, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage and kiwifruit.

Vitamin A

The vitamin A is good for your skin, nose and mouth lining, why? This is because; it keeps them in the best of shape. Additionally, it helps your vision and keeps your digestive and urinary tracts at the best of health. A deficiency in vitamin A can lead to night blindness, and can make your skin dry and flaky. You should eat carrots, liver, milk, butter, cheese and spinach.

Vitamin D

The D vitamin is important as it helps to maintain the strength in your muscles, bones and teeth. It does so by absorbing calcium which is a mineral essential for muscle contraction, bone density, heartbeat regulation and nerve transmission. Children can develop rickets which is a bone disease if there is a deficiency in this vitamin. Adults can develop osteomalacia. Do eat milk, fish oils, butter and egg yolks for getting good levels of vitamin D.

Vitamin K

The K vitamin is good for your body as it develops its blood clotting ability that helps to heal your cuts and wounds. If you have a deficiency in this vitamin your skin may have a tendency to bleed very easily. You should eat green and leafy vegetables, dill pickles and soybeans.

Vitamin B2

This vitamin is responsible for turning food into energy in your body and it also promotes healthy skin, good eyesight and nervous system so that it works tip top. If you lack on this vitamin you will have cracks at the corners of your mouth, sore throat, skin rashes hypersensitivity to light and a purple tongue. You can eat enriched breads and cereals, and also dairy products, green vegetables, poultry and fish.

All in all you should ideally eat all types of fruits and vegetables, avoid junk foods, and maintain a routine sleeping and waking hour. Finally drink sufficient water to keep your body hydrated.
