Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating, after using the restroom, and after coughing or sneezing. In situations where soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitiser to disinfect your hands.

3. Practice Respiratory Hygiene

To curb the spread of germs, cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose, or cough/sneeze into the inside of your elbow to prevent the dispersal of respiratory droplets. Dispose of used tissues properly and wash your hands immediately afterward to prevent contamination.

4. Avoid Close Contact

Steer clear of close contact with individuals who are sick, as the flu virus can spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. If you're feeling unwell, it's crucial to stay home from work, school, and social gatherings to prevent the spread of illness to others.
