If you want to get pregnant, it may take you more than intercourse. Some couples are lucky enough to conceive easily while others have to put in additional efforts. If you are finding it hard to get pregnant right away, here are some tips to help you conceive.
For conception, it’s especially important for you and your partner to ensure that you get enough protein. 15 percent of your daily diet should be inclusive of protein sources because it aids in the production of healthy eggs and sperm production.
Keep a tab on your fat intake. Cut all sources of saturated fats from your diet. Include essential fatty acids, such as omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 that aid in maintaining hormonal balance.
Eat oily fish, pumpkin seeds, walnuts and other nuts to derive healthy fats from them.
Weight gain makes ovulation sporadic. Your overweight/obese body may not release eggs at the same time every month, thereby decreasing your chances to conceive. The higher your BMI (body mass index) is the lower are your chances to get pregnant. According to a research held in the Netherlands, it was found that every increase in BMI above 29 reduces the chances of conception by 4 percent. If a woman has a BMI of 33, she is 16 percent less likely to get pregnant than a woman with a BMI of 29.
Refrain from using lubricants when trying to get pregnant. Due to an increased pH level of artificial lubricants, there are chances that usage of them may kill or damage the sperm before entering the uterus.
If you wish to conceive right away, you need to determine when your ovulation starts and ends. If you have regular menstrual cycles, you may not require watching your fertile window. Just remember that having intercourse on the ovulation days is most likely to elevate your chances of getting pregnant.
Have fun when having intercourse. This is the key to a less stressful conception. If you have enjoyed only to have a baby, you must be missing the fun. The fluid secreted by an aroused woman helps in reducing the acidic environment around the uterus making it safe for the sperm to enter.
If despite resorting to all solutions, you fail to get pregnant, you may need medical help to figure out the real reason that is curbing your chances of conception.
