It develops due to a person being overweight, which can even lead to type-2 diabetes. Therefore, regular exercise plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health.

According to a recent study published in Diabetologia, the journal of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, researchers found a connection between timing a person exercises and insulin resistance.

Researchers in Europe analysed data to see whether breaks in sedentary activity can impact a person's insulin resistance. The researchers included middle-aged participants from the Netherlands Epidemiology of Obesity study and examined their liver fat content and insulin resistance in relation with physical activity timing.

It was found that there is no connection between breaks in sedentary activity and reduced insulin resistance. However, there is a possible relation between the timing of exercise and insulin resistance.
