Onlymyhealth talked to Dr. Pavan Kumar Chebbi, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon, Apollo Spectra Hospital, Bangalore, to know about the symptoms that tell your joint health is not at an optimum state.
Signs of poor joint health
1. Swelling
If one notices swelling near the joints often and if it hasn't been caused by any injuries. It is a sign that joint health is not at an optimum state and requires serious attention.
2. Noisy Joints
Joints give out the signs of their poor condition quite literally at times. If there is a clicking noise, grinding sensation, or snapping sound at the slightest movement, it is a clear sign of a need for care.

3. Weakness
If the joints have recently become weak and cannot handle the minimum weight or even hold the body weight, it is a sign that the joints need care. One starts to lose balance and faces difficulty in movements.
4. Tenderness
With deteriorating joint health, one is increasingly prone to injury and fractures. The joints become tender and vulnerable and can break or dislocate at the slightest jerk.
5. Difficulty in movement
Poor joint health hampers easy movement. One starts to experience either moving their arms or legs or experiencing a shoot of pain or constant pain during movement. It is also difficult to even straighten or bend the hands and legs.

Some other symptoms of joint health include numbness in the joints, stiff or enlarged joints etc., which are the clear indicators of one's joint health condition.
