The chief ingredient used to make red wine is resveratrol, which is a potent antioxidant found in grapes. The research suggests that resveratrol can prevent the growth of cancer and breast cancer cells. Red wine provides cardiovascular benefits which can protect the heart from harmful condition like atherosclerosis. Although white wine may not supply the same amount of minerals and antioxidant power as red wine, but consuming premium white wines from particular winemakers can give more health benefits than some types of red wine.
