At 34, Odia Singer Humane Sagar Passes Away Due To Multi-Organ Dysfunction

The Odisha Music fraternity is mourning the death of the popular singer Humane Sagar, who passed away on Monday evening at the young age of 34. The Odisha singer was undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar, where doctors confirmed that he died due to Multi-Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS).

Humane Sagar's Death Cause

According to reports, Sagar had been rushed to the emergency department of AIIMS Bhubaneshwar on November 14, around 1:10 PM, in critical condition. He has been monitored by specialists since being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but showed no signs of recovery in the 24 hours preceding his death.

In an official bulletin, AIIMS Bhubaneshwar confirmed the tragic incident, stating that he was suffering from multiple severe conditions. These included Multi-Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS), Acute Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF), Dilated Cardiomyopathy with severe LV Systolic Dysfunction, Severe Respiratory failure, Anuric Acute Kidney Injury, Encephalopathy, Hepatopathy. The report confirmed that he did not respond to treatment despite all the aggressive and advanced care provided by the expert team.

Who Was Humane Sagar?

Humane Sagar was a well-known Odia singer who lent his voice to more than 100 songs. Born in Titlagarh, Bolangir district, on November 25, 1990, he was regarded as one of the most influential and loved music artists among Odia youth.

He first made headlines with the title track of Ishq Tu Hi Tu and later continued to win the audience's hearts with powerful back-to-back hits, including Niswasa, Bekhudee, Tuma Otha Tale, and Chehera. He had even released a Hindi album named Mera Yeh Jahan.

Condolence Pour In

Tributes began pouring in shortly after the announcemt of the Odia singer’s death. Odisha CM Mohan Majhi expressed his condolences, taking to his X handle, "I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of renowned playback singer Human Sagar. His demise is an irreparable loss to our music and cinema. I convey my condolences to the bereaved family and pray to God for the peace of the departed soul."

The Leader of Opposition and former CM, Naveen Patnaik, also expressed grief over Sagar’s death. In his tweet, he mentioned, “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Human Sagar. His emotional music touched the hearts of countless listeners, and his contribution to Odia music will always be remembered. I pray for the eternal peace of his soul and express my condolences to the bereaved family members in this time of grief.”
