How do worms affect the body?
Parasitic worms are likely to enter a person’s body due to lack of sanitation and personal hygiene, additionally, they are commonly entered via consumption of uncooked, raw, and/or, contaminated food. Recent studies have shown that certain species of worms, helminths, can also be transmitted via soil transmission. Once entered the body, they settle in the intestines and begin to reproduce. These infections interfere with the regular functioning of the body and disrupt health. A person tends to become malnourished post-infection as most of the nutritious supplements of the food get absorbed by these worms.
