From an NLP perspective, anxiety can also stem from looping internal dialogues like repetitive “what ifs” that hijack your focus. Reframing those inner questions into solutions (“What can I do right now?”) brings your mind back under control.

Here’s what helps:

- Emotional Check-Ins: Spend five minutes daily asking, “What am I really feeling right now?” Labelling emotions builds awareness.
- Sensory Grounding: When anxiety peaks, notice five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear. This calms the nervous system.
- Real Rest: Not scrolling, not escaping, but genuine downtime. The brain needs recovery, not distraction.
Anxiety doesn’t disappear by ignoring it. It eases when you listen, name, and nurture what it’s trying to tell you before it starts shouting.
A study by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) found that about 31% of adults experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives, with many reporting symptoms nearly every day during stressful phases.
