The production of hemoglobin is very important for your body. Hemoglobin (Hb or Hgb) is a protein molecule in red blood cells in the bone marrow that contains iron and carries oxygen. The normal levels of hemoglobin in the body range from 14 to 18 g/dL in men and 12 to 16g/dL in women.
