Hair! At the right places look beautiful while at wrong place have just the opposite effect! Many women face the problem of removal of unwanted hair. The reason for hair growth could be hormonal imbalance, ovarian tumors or other health problems. Hence, the latest techniques, such as costly laser treatments also cannot guarantee permanent hair removal. As it is very difficult to pay frequent visits to parlor, following are a few home remedies for hair removal


Remove Hair

 

Waxing

Either you can buy hot wax from the market or prepare your own wax.

 

Home-made wax

Mix 2 cups of sugar with one-fourth cup of water and lemon juice, each. Heat the mixture till it becomes smooth. Check the consistency and the temperature of the mixture before applying on skin. Apply in the direction of hair growth. Place a cloth on the patch and rub till it is firmly fixed. Pull it in the direction opposite to hair growth.

 

Sugaring

Mix one cup sugar, juice of half a lemon, one-fourth cup honey, Molasses (very little) and heat to get a smooth consistency. Before applying on skin, dust the area with cornstarch, for smooth hair removal. Follow same procedure as for waxing.

 

Home Remedies for Remove Hair

 

Tweezing

It is plucking of hair with plucker and is usually useful for bushy eyebrows, though it is time consuming and painful.

 

Bleaching

The unwanted hair can be bleached, by either using synthetic or home-made bleaches.

 

Home-made bleach

Make a paste made of fresh lime juice and a pinch of turmeric powder and apply in the direction of the hair growth. Remove after it dries. It works best when the hairs are very fine.

 

Pastes

Make a paste of lemon juice, sugar, and water. Apply this paste in the direction of the hair growth, and let it dry completely. Rub it off and rinse completely. Make a mask of one part of lemon juice and four parts of honey. Apply in the direction of the growth and rinse it off after 15 minutes. Apply twice a week for best results.



Make a paste of half tablespoon corn flour, a tablespoon of sugar, and the egg white of a single egg. Apply this to the face. When the mixture dries completely, gently peel it off. Repeat 3 to 4 times a week to completely remove fine hairfrom the skin.



Mix little haldi with gram flour and water/fresh cream/milk/rose water. Apply mixture and leave on till the paste dries.  Rub in the opposite direction of hair growth. Apply baby oil to soothe the skin. This has to be followed regularly for few months before it is effective.

 

Other

When bathing, apply soap and scrub your hands and legs gently with a pumice stone / sandpaper every-day. It takes time, but with patience hair will gradually diminish.



It is advisable to opt for any of the methods only after checking the allergies towards any of the ingredients.
