All the home remedies which we are going to mention have been considered effective in treating ringworm fungal infection. However you must be careful about allergies and reactions to your skin. All of these are natural products but some people have certain allergies in which case they should avoid that remedy and consult a doctor.

1. Garlic Paste

Garlic has been often seen to be effective for treating many fungal infections such as candida, torulopsis, trichopyton and Cryptococcus. To use it as a treatment for ringworm, you need to make a paste of it by blending it with some coconut oil. Apply the paste on the infected area and cover it with gauze. Leave the paste for around 2 hours and then you can rinse it away. Make sure it does not cause any stinging effect or swelling in that area, if it does then rinse it off immediately. 

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

This has anti-fungal properties that can help in treating ringworm. Apple cider vinegar has been helpful in treating candida fungal infection and many people apply it as a remedy for ringworm fungal infection. But do not apply it directly, soak a cotton pad in the undiluted vinegar and slowly wipe the infected area. You can apply apple cider vinegar around 3 times in a day for best results.

3. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is natural remedy which is used to treat a number of infections and skin problems. It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties which heals the skin. Anti-viral property of Aloe Vera also ensures that you do not have any other infection while getting treated. It cools down the skin and reduces that irritation around the affected patch. For best results you should extract the aloe-vera gel from the plant and apply it on the ringworm fungus 3-4 times in a day. It can also reduce swelling in the area.

4. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has many health benefits and is used as an ingredient in many ayurvedic medications. It contains fatty acid that helps in killing the fungal cells. People who used it for treating ringworm have said it to be effective and have not shown any side-effects so far. Coconut oil can also be used on the skin to treat mild to moderate skin infection. You can apply coconut oil on the infected skin three times in a day. It can also prevent fungal ringworm infection if you apply it daily.

5. Powdered Licorice

This is actually used as a herb in the treatment of ringworm and also considered as medicine for treating ringworm and few other fungal infection. Licorice has anti-viral, antifungal, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties which are very beneficial for skin and removing fungal infection. To make this remedy you need to mix 3 tablespoons of powdered licorice into a cup of water and heat it for 10 minutes. Once the liquid is cooled, then you can apply the paste on your skin and observe the results. It can be applied twice on the infected area.

6. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is also used as a remedy for treating bacterial and fungal infection in many parts of the world. It is extremely beneficial for the skin and is effecting in treating ringworm as well. For making the mixture be careful about the quantity you are using. You need to put 2 percent of dilution of tea tree oil and min it with 12 drops of essential oil. Then add one once of coconut oil and apply it on the affected skin. 

Apply this remedy 3 times in a day for best results. However if you do not have a sensitive skin then you can apply tea tree oil directly. But it is recommended to make a mixture that is safe and effective.

7. Oil of Oregano

Oregano contains two strong anti-fungal components namely ‘thymol’ and ‘carvacol’. Oil of oregano is made from wild oregano and it can stop the growth of fungus on your skin. It is very effective as is also given as a medication for treating ringworm; however that is mostly made of common oregano rather than wild ones. Always dilute the oil of oregano with coconut or any carrier oil so that it does not harm your skin in any ways. You can apply it up to three times in a day.
