Healthy Recipes: Chaach

 Chaach Something is required to wash down those curries and gravies that you just had. And nothing can beat the very traditional chaach aka, buttermilk.

 

Key Ingredients: 1 ½ cups of skimmed milk, 1 cup of fresh lemon extract, 2 cups of buttermilk, salt as per taste

 

Mix sugar and lime extract well till the sugar granules turn into a smooth paste and mix well. Add skimmed milk and buttermilk. Mix well and pour in khullars   and serve chilled!

 

Nutri-check: Buttermilk has potassium and Vitamin B12. And in case you think it has a high fat-content, then time to dig into facts! Buttermilk has far less lower fat-content than butter itself.
