Biotin is a vitamin B compound that is present in eggs, milk, bananas, ground nuts, etc. We spoke to Ms. Shilpa Singh, Clinical Nutritionist from Fatima Hospital, Lucknow to understand the benefits and effects of biotin on the body. She told that biotin deficiency is also a thing, it causes problems such as thinning of hair, rashes on face and other health issues. Biotin needs to be present in body in order to boost skin, hair, and nails, etc.
How much Biotin do you need?
One of the basic questions that occurs in any food is that how much nutrition is healthy. According to nutritionist you need 30mg to 100mg per day of biotin for healthy nutrition. Biotin requirements varies for every individual but normally it is 70mg for adults and 30-40mg in children. Biotin is water soluble and it passes throughout your body when you urinate. If you can take excess of biotin then you may have nausea and digestive issues. However, there are no toxic symptoms are noted with too much biotin consumption.

Benefits of Biotin
1. On Diabetes Type-2
According to study by National Institute of Health, People suffering from type 2 diabetes can be benefited by consumption of biotin. Blood glucose levels as well as regulate blood pressure. Many researchers I still working to find out the evident symptoms and evident benefits of biotin usage and consumption. It can also prevent kidney damage in people who are dependent on insulin. Type 2 diabetes is a serious disease and needs proper supplements in order to counter complications.
2. Hair Benefits
You must have heard about biotin supplements and compounds in the shampoo and hair products. This is because biotin supplements are very beneficial for your hair growth as well as to prevent hair damage. If you really want your hair to be more silky, then do apply biotin products on your hair.
