Summer is here, giving us more reason to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. As the temperature will likely rise in the coming days, we'll soon be exposed to heat strokes and extreme humidity. So don't be surprised if you feel unwell, tired, lack energy, or even experience digestive issues. It is all a sign of dehydration, which is common during summer. Watermelon is one of the most hydrating fruits, with over 90% of water content, as per the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). It is also rich in vitamins A, C and E and essential minerals, such as zinc, potassium, and copper. Furthermore, it is loaded with antioxidants that help maintain overall health and well-being. 


Muskmelon, also known as cantaloupe, is a good fibre and vitamin C source. It has over 90% water content, which makes it as good a summer fruit as watermelon. In addition, it is rich in beta-carotene, a pigment that gets converted into vitamin A. 


According to the USDA, peaches are packed with vitamins C, A, E, and K. It is a good source of potassium and phosphorus, which helps maintain normal levels of fluid inside our cells and contributes to the formation of bones and teeth, respectively. Additionally, it has about 89% water content, making it a hydrating fruit for summer.


Pineapple contains 86% of water content, which makes it a great summer fruit to feast on. It is packed with vitamin C and is rich in magnesium, potassium, manganese, and B vitamins. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties, which help keep illnesses at bay.
