Dr. Basavaraj Utagi is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road, Bengaluru, with over 10 years of clinical practice and training from premier institutions. He completed both his MD in Medicine and DM in Cardiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi - one of India's most prestigious medical institutions - and is an International Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (IFESC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI, 2021). Dr. Utagi's clinical expertise covers the full spectrum of cardiovascular care, with a focused interest in complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), peripheral vascular and structural heart interventions, and advanced heart failure management. He is experienced in intra-coronary imaging, rota-ablation, left main and bifurcation stenting, carotid stenting, TEVAR, pacemaker and ICD implantation, and limb ischemia interventions. Prior to joining Fortis Hospital, he served as Associate Professor and Consultant Cardiologist at Justice K S Hegde Hospital, Mangalore, where he combined academic teaching with clinical cardiology practice.
