Beauty Tips for Men with Long Hair
Men who grow long hair have always baffled sensibility; what a chore it must be to maintain those long locks! For a woman, it is the part and parcel of being a lady, but for a man, it is just plain hard work. Be Sure: The first thing to do is to be sure. Hair growth should not be an accident, make sure you have planned it. For example, start growing your hair from early winter as cool weather prevents sweaty head. You should also be prepared to dedicate extra time to your hair as taking care of long mane will definitely take your time.
Shampoo and Condition Daily: You must be able to figure out the kind of shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair and use them daily. Use a wide-toothed comb to untangle your hair before you shampoo them. Wet your hair with warm water (not hot), take a few drops of the shampoo and apply it evenly from the scalp to the end with your fingertips. Finally, rinse with lukewarm water after two or three minutes. Using the wide-toothed comb, gently comb through the hair (scalp to end) before applying conditioner. Follow the instructions given in the bottle on using the conditioner and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
On drying your Hair: When your hair is wet, it is highly susceptible to damage. So, when you rub it against a towel to dry, some of the s tands tangle in the threads of the towel and become stretched to the point of breakage. Towel dry your hair by shaking off excess water and stroking it in the direction of growth. Make sure you do not rub your hair with towel. Another common cause of damage to hair is blow drying, so, do not blow dry your hair. But, if you must use one, be sure to apply a thermal styling spray or de-tangler to coat the hair and protect it from damage before blow drying.
Combing and Brushing: Growing long hair demands proper care, which can be done with the help of certain hair care equipments. The most important of these is a wide teeth comb and a good quality hair brush. You must comb and brush your hair on a regular basis, unless you want dread locks.
