Ideal Diet for Weight Management

The secret to losing weight is to eat and drink the right kind of food until you are satisfied. Skipping of meals is not the answer for weight loss. It can rather deteriorate your health. A healthy weight loss diet plan should include vegetables, fruits, grains, lentils and beans in your diet.

Low carb diet is always the correct way to lose weight permanently. Low carb diets focus on energy usage and in particular control levels of energy obtained and released from carbohydrates. The aim of a low carb diet is to condition the body to start using fat as a primary source of energy instead of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates should not be omitted or severely restricted; a minimum of 100 g of carbohydrate/day is recommended.

Obesity is diagnosed when the weight gain of an individual is 20 percent more than the ideal weight. Clearly there is an obvious relationship between the calorie intake and the calorie burnt. People tend to gain weight when they consume more calories than what their body can burn.

  • Don’t aim to lose 10 pounds or more; rather aim to lose about 2 pounds a week. Divide it into smaller weight loss steps of one or two weeks. Maintain a weight loss diet plan of your progress, as your weight reduces.
  • One good way to start any diet plan is to keep a pencil and notebook handy as you go about your day.
  • Adding ample amounts of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans to your diet plan will help you reap a nutritional bonanza.
  • Purging your home of chips, cookies and other items you don't want to ingest will go a long way.

High protein diet

Consuming high amounts of protein and low amounts of carbohydrate allows for a slow burning of energy and maintains stable blood sugar levels. This maintains a healthy pancreas and assists in maintaining healthy weight. Whereas diets high in carbohydrates have been linked to obesity; low-carb and high protein diets have been found to support weight loss.

Most high protein diets are also low in carbohydrates and saturated fats. To accelerate weight loss, you need to reduce carbohydrates and lower the calorie intake. A high protein diet plan can help you to do this. Diet supplements with high protein can be taken once a day. It does have certain health risks if consumed in high quantity like heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, etc. Increasing the protein content of the diet at the expense of carbohydrates, increases the satiating effect of the diet, and induces a spontaneous weight loss.

All of us have at some point in our lives experienced a frustration with the way our bodies look to ourselves or even how others see us. Time and again we have done everything under the sun to get those amazing almost unreal bodies in those commercial ads, but failed miserably, and felt ever more disgusted with our futile attempts.

Why is it that the harder we try, the further away we are from our goal? Why does our body refuse to behave the way we want it to?

The answer is very simple- Each and every one of us is an individual case.

Yes!! It’s that simple

Calorie diets, Blood Group diets or any other Fad diets have one thing in common- they generalize the entire population into one single category. Each of us has a specific characteristic feature in us that is uniquely different from other person of the same gender, height, weight and age as ourselves, and that secret word that make...
