You can loosen the crusts by gently massaging the scalp with baby oil at night and then by washing the hair with a baby shampoo the next morning. You can lift the crusts off gently with a soft brush. You should try this every day until you see that your baby’s scalp looks clearer.
Your baby can also get acne which is also known as Acne neonatorum or neonatal baby acne which is caused by maternal hormones. You should know that it is the same hormone which is involved in causing acne in adolescents. The only difference between the two is that it will only resolve on its own in a matter of just a few weeks. You do not really need any treatment for this.
