Getting over a deceased parent can be difficult, but you need to make a determined effort at some stage. Here are some ways where you can help yourself recover.
- Do not deny the loss; accept your pain and grief, and the fact that you will probably never fully recover.
- Give yourself a break to reflect on where you currently see your life; being alone will help you understand and acknowledge all of the emotions that come with losing a loved one.
- Have faith in God and let Him be your pillar of strength in getting you through the pain.
- Use the other members of your family and your close friends for the support you may need. They will be more than happy to share your grief and pain.
- Remember what we have lost cannot be replaced, but death for everyone is inevitable.
