BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Neetu Gagneja Arora is a highly accomplished Cataract and Medical Retina Specialist with extensive experience in advanced ophthalmic diagnosis, cataract microsurgery, and comprehensive retinal care. She currently serves as Associate Director and Chief Eye Surgeon at Esskay Ortho & Eye Centre, East Krishna Nagar, New Delhi, and as Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj, New Delhi. She completed her MBBS from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (2005) and her DNB in Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examinations (2012). She further pursued a Fellowship in Cataract Surgery at the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, advanced phacoemulsification training at Nandadeep Eye Hospital, Sangli, and a Cataract Surgery Course at the University of Michigan - equipping her with world-class surgical expertise in modern cataract techniques. Over the course of her career, Dr. Gagneja has developed significant expertise in advanced cataract surgery, medical retina disorders, glaucoma management, and ocular surface disease. She has previously served as Consultant Ophthalmologist at ESI Model Hospital Noida, Paras Hospital Vaishali, Northern Railway Central Hospital Delhi, and Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College & Hospital, New Delhi, building a broad and diverse clinical foundation across public, railway, and corporate healthcare settings. She is the Founder Member of the Max Ophthalmology Forum (established October 2024) and has served as Faculty, Co-Convenor, and Instructor at the Annual Delhi Ophthalmological Society Conference 2025. An internationally recognised academic ophthalmologist, Dr. Gagneja is a frequent faculty speaker, surgical instructor, and panelist at leading national and international ophthalmology conferences, including AIOS, DOS, APAO, and the Singapore-Malaysia Joint Meeting of Ophthalmology. She has delivered faculty presentations, surgical demonstrations, and instructional courses on phacoemulsification, SICS, macular OCT, and central serous chorioretinopathy across platforms in India, Singapore, Melbourne, and beyond. She was awarded Excellence in Eye Care and Cataract Surgery at the Times Health Conclave & Awards by the Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Shri Manoj Tiwari (August 2025), and received the DCRS Award at the Annual Delhi Ophthalmological Society Conference (2022).
