Sleeping On The Back
PROS: While sleeping in this position, the natural curve of your body gets support from the mattress. Some studies believe that sleeping on the back does not cause wrinkles on the face. Also, sleeping on the back is effective in reducing the risk of acid reflux because due to gravity, food and acid are prevented from reaching the food pipe.
BE CAREFUL: However, on your back can increase snoring and breathing trouble during sleep. Also, there can be lower back pain. Make sure that the natural curve of your spine is not disturbed while sleeping on your back. Try to sleep without putting a pillow below your head. If required, you can use pillows below the knees.

Sleeping On The Side
PROS: Most of us love sleeping on the side, and according to experts, this method of sleeping is also better for health. People who sleep on the side have snoring and breathing difficulties. However, sleeping on one side of the body dramatically reduces the risk of back and neck pain. According to a study, sleeping on the side can also reduce the risk of neurological diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
The right way to sleep for pregnant women
Pregnant women are especially advised to sleep on the side. The American Pregnancy Association advises women to sleep on their left side during pregnancy. Sleeping on the left side during pregnancy increases blood and nutrient flow towards the placenta. While sleeping on the back, pregnant women may get back pain, problems in breathing and heartburn.
BE CAREFUL: While sleeping on the side, keep in mind that one knee should be above the other knee, the waist should not become crooked while sleeping and hands should also be appropriately rested on the body. Use a pillow, which can fill the gap between your shoulders, head and neck so that the neck does not hang in the air.
According to many yoga experts, people who have a cold or have a phlegmatic nature are advised to sleep on their left side. At the same time, those with a high BP should sleep on their right side. Sleeping on the right enhances the body temperature towards the cooler side.
Sleeping On The Stomach
PROS: Some people like to sleep on their stomach. Although it is not advisable to sleep on the stomach because it does not provide any support to the natural curve of the spine, it also puts pressure on joints, muscles. However, people who sleep on the stomach snore less than those who sleep on their back.
BE CAREFUL: If you cannot sleep in any other position than this, ensure to use a soft pillow or sleep without a pillow so that your neck stays proper.
