Many women believe that breastfeeding helps them get back their lost curves. And, now the researchers at the Oxford University too claim that if you want to get back to your pre-pregnancy days and flaunt a super slim figure, breastfeed your baby for about six months. This in fact has an effect on their eight for decades. They discovered that women who breastfeed their babies every few months are less likely to be obese 30 years hence.
Most women become obese post pregnancy and do not do much to lose weight. This increases the chances of thousand of deaths due to obesity related medical conditions, such as cardiac arrest, diabetes and cancer. So, this study has a compelling evidence of weight gain reversal. This revolutionary finding claims that a woman would lose 2 lbs if she breastfeeds for six months after delivery. Weight loss might, however vary depending on your initial weight and height.
Even the WHO recommends women to breastfeed for a minimum of six months. Unfortunately most women give up because they find it uncomfortable and are worried that their babies might not be getiing enough milk. But if this study’s conclusive results are to be believed we’d say breastfeeding could come a long way in beating your weight worries.
