We spoke to Clinical Nutritionist, Ms. Shilpa Singh from Fatima Hospital, Lucknow to know in detail about fruits that can aid weight loss. She told about 6 fruits that can actually help you to regulate your calories and affect healthy weight loss. 

1. Grapefruit 

This fruit is also known as a superfood for weight loss. This is because it is a cross combination of pomelo and orange. People who go on weight loss diet often add this fruit to their list in order to experience effective weight loss. It has just 40 calories that provides for almost 65% of the daily intake of vitamin C in the body. Grapefruit is low in glycemic acid and it provides a good quantity of natural sugar in the blood stream that provides you with energy needed. It is low in glycemic index and thus is efficient for promoting healthy weight for the person. 


2. Apple 

An apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Yes, it can really do it because it eliminates the risk of number of health diseases that may affect you. Apples are also low in calories and have been found to support weight loss. It contains around 110 calories and provides natural antioxidants for the body. It also has more filling effect on your health and can even provide with notable reduction in fat. It is a filling fruit that can keep you away from unhealthy snacks for almost 2-3 hours. Apples contain natural compounds that are linked to reduced cholesterol levels in the body.

3. Berries

Blackberries and blue berries are considered very healthy for weight loss. If you have half cup of berries in your diet in the whole day, then it just gives you 42 calories. This can be very effective as it provides around 12% of vitamin C and Manganese levels in the body.  

In fact strawberries are also highly beneficial in weight loss because it just contains 50 calories. It also contains around 3 grams of dietary fiber that is required for the body in aiding proper digestion. Strawberries of 250 grams can actually fulfill your vitamin C requirements as well as 30% of manganese.  


4. Passion Fruit
