Head lice are most often found on the scalp behind the ears and close the hairline at the back of the neck. Adult head lice have hook-like claws on each of their six legs. They use these claws to hold on to the hair. Rarely head lice can be found on the body, eyelashes, or eyebrows besides the scalp hair. Often, these are confused with dandruff.
