Chemical peels are mostly used for cosmetic reasons as it improves and smoothens out the skin’s surface. Chemical peels is also known as derma-peeling, in this procedure a chemical application is used on the skin which causes the top layer or the damaged skin to slough off and gradually peel away. Regeneration of skin occurs and the new skin appears smoother and clearer and when compared to the older skin is less wrinkled. Chemical peels can be helpful as it improves skin which is damaged by overexposure to sun rays, pigmentation issues, acne and scarring of the skin.
