Unspoken beauty rules for the gorgeous bride
- Plan ahead to minimize problems.
- Stay hydrated and eat well.
- Pamper yourself as well as your skin.
- Say no to things that may cause harm.
Planning to get an expensive, exotic facial just before your wedding day to get that perfectly glowing skin? Think once again. If your skin is not healthy, no amount of makeup or facials can make it look perfect. You need to plan ahead and start taking care of your skin at least a month before the wedding.
For starters, figure out a beauty regimen that works for you and stick to it. Any change in your beauty routine or your diet a few weeks prior to your wedding is a big NO. The last thing you want is red blotchy skin due to an allergy. At this time, stick to the tested and tried!
To get that coveted, all natural bridal glow on your D-day, it’s very important for you to stay hydrated. Incorporating foods with high water content in your diet such as fruits, vegetables, berries along with proper fluid intake will keep your hydration levels up. Supplementing your diet with good fats such as omega-3s will help you to achieve that soft supple skin. Think flaxseeds, walnuts, sardines, salmon!
Do NOT crash diet
The desire to look fabulous in that perfect dress and a shortage of time can lead many women to go to extreme lengths to lose weight. Crash dieting is the worst thing you can do to your body and skin, especially before your wedding. It is essential to eat adequate amount of healthy food, because a crash diet will only make your skin look tired and dull.
Pamper your skin
When you feel good, it shows. So, pamper your skin and indulge in things that you were unable to before due to a busy life. Get regular facials, manicures and pedicures, start using nail oils, etc. Indulge in a relaxing massage once or twice a week a month before your wedding. Take time to gently exfoliate your body once in a while and moisturize your skin every day. Most importantly, find time to relax.
Keep away from party poopers
Steer clear of culprits that can ruin all your efforts of looking gorgeous. Limit or better yet stop the intake of caffeine and alcohol a month before the wedding. Caffeine and alcohol dehydrate your body, stripping moisture from your skin. Also, reducing salt intake can work wonders to reduce bloating and water retention. It will help you feel skinnier and more confident.
Follow these simple rules and be the most beautiful bride you have always dreamt of becoming one day.
