Wigs and weaves: Wigs are made from human or synthetic hair and are implanted into a nylon netting which can be attached to the scalp with hair glue or clips. Hair weaving involves sewing or braiding human or synthetic hair into existing natural hair. It is also known as hair integration.
Hair products and styling techniques: Hair products like sprayed-on dyes colour the scalp or existing hair giving the illusion of lush hair. Hair styling such as comb-overs and perms also give the illusion of hair in bald spots. These methods are not lasting in nature as they are camouflage techniques and may result in more hair loss.
Ultimately what matters is the approach you take towards treatment of hair loss as the success of treatment will depend on the cause of hair loss. Treatment of hair loss which is caused by an illness, drug or oppressive hair care is more rewarding than treatment for genetic hair loss.
