Punjab Becomes Investors’ Favorite Destination, Receives Investment Proposals Worth ₹1.23 Lakh Crore

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab is emerging as a preferred destination for investors worldwide. Since March 2022, the state has received investment proposals worth ₹1.23 lakh crore, with the potential to generate over 4.7 lakh employment opportunities. Chief Minister Mann stated that this investment has brought new energy to Punjab’s industrial development and innovation.

After Tata Steel, several major companies including Verbio, JSW, Cargill, Vardhman, and Oswal have invested in Punjab. Recently, the Netherlands-based company De Heus launched a state-of-the-art animal feed plant at a cost of ₹150 crore, creating new jobs for youth. The plant currently has a capacity of 180 kilotons, which can be increased to 240 kilotons in the future.

The Mann Government has also launched the country’s most advanced single-window system, the ‘Fast Track Punjab Portal’, which provides all services related to business in one place. To promote industrial development, the state government has formed 24 sectoral committees, chaired by experienced industry leaders. These committees are tasked with formulating policies tailored to the needs of each industrial sector. Chief Minister Mann believes that partnership between government and industry is the key to success, and several rounds of meetings have directly benefited industries.

To simplify business processes, the Punjab government has implemented reforms like the Fast Track Punjab Portal and the Right to Business Act. The Chief Minister stated that due to the industry-friendly policies and transparent governance, Punjab has become a reliable destination not only for Indian but also foreign investors. According to Chief Minister Mann, in the coming years, Punjab will become India’s industrial powerhouse.
